A film grade of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) called LH0075 has a high molecular weight. It exhibits excellent behavior in flexible extrusion and also has great mechanical properties. This grade is specially designed for making long lasting stable films like carrier bags and shrink films that can withstand impact with a lot of resistance to cooling.
Description and Applications
Better Mechanical Properties: LH0075 boasts strong dart-impact resistance, good yield strength, stiffness necessary for producing heavy-duty tough films.
Capability of Flexible Extrusion: The grade allows for easy processing on automatic machines, providing good dimensional stability which is critical to maintaining uniform quality of film produced consistently throughout.
Main Uses:
Shrink Film: Ideal especially when used in packaging requiring higher penetration resistance against holes and greater reduction after application heat treatment.
Carrier Bags and Industrial Film: Suitable for items that must endure mechanical stress and environmental factors.
Dust Bin Liners and Packaging for Pharmaceutical Products: Provides durability and compliance with health safety standards.
Food Packaging and Chemical Storage: Ensures safety and compliance with food and chemical storage regulations
Specifications & Physical Properties
Melt Flow Index (MFI): 0.75 g/10min at 190°C/2.16 kg - shows moderate flowing ability suitable for extruding films
Density: 0.920 g/ml - gives the films structural integrity combined with flexibility needed during folding or wrapping process
Vicat Softening Point: 95°C – the polymer starts to soften at this temperature
Elongation at Break: In MD (machine direction) it’s 300%, while TD (transverse direction) it stretches by 450% indicating elasticity of film during stretching.
Tensile Strength at Break – with minimum value MD ≥170 kg/cm² guarantees that film will not tear apart when exposed under stress conditions;
Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT):33°C – represents thermal performance limits where material retains its shape without deforming significantly
Dart Impact: 120 g minimum – indicates resistance ability against puncture or tearing forces encountered during use.
Processing Conditions
Extrusion Compatibility: LH0075 can be processed on all types of extruders with a recommended die output temperature range of 180-210°C.
Blow Up Ratio (BUR): It is advised to keep this ratio at 2 so as not to have much orientation along the machine direction which might weaken mechanical properties of film
Film Temperature Management: To ensure best possible quality, it is important that nip rollers and haul-off keep close to ambient temperature.
Storage, Health & Environmental Information
Storage Recommendations: Should be stored under dry conditions and below 60°C, protected from UV light in order not to degrade faster.
Health & Safety: Not classified as dangerous substance but precautions should be taken against dust explosion due to respiratory irritation from dust or fumes during processing.
Recycling and Sustainability: Can be recycled under suitable conditions. Waste generated during production should allow for direct recycling so as to support environmental sustainability practices within the company.
LH0075 is intended for manufacturers looking for reliable high-performance LDPE solutions applicable across a wide variety of packaging needs. Its strength lies in robust mechanical properties combined with adaptability during film processing stages while ensuring compliance towards eco-friendly standards thereby yielding durable films of superior quality.
