LDPE LFI2047A

LFI 2047A is a kind of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) that can be used in many ways because of its strength and clarity. This product is often made with anti-blocking agents and slip modifiers at moderate levels such as Erucamide. It has been licensed from SABTEC so that it could work well for different films.

Applications

This material is mainly utilized in blown film extrusion where it performs best under the following conditions:

High Clarity Laundry Bags – This type should make see-through laundry bags which are strong enough.

Textile Wrapping Films – Use this when creating covering materials for fabrics during storage or transportation.

Zip Lock Bags – They can be used to produce resealable bags that need to be easy-to-use and tightly-sealed.

General Blown Film Extrusion – Due its various characteristics, general film types can also benefit from this form of LDPE.

Notable Features

Flow Properties: Melt Flow Index (MFI) = 4.7 dg/min at 190°C/2.16kg; the flow is good with medium processability.

Density: 920 kg/m³ offers a balance between flexibility and toughness.

Impact Strength: At least 15 kJ/m indicates good resistance against physical impacts.

Tear Strength: TD-25 kN/m, MD-80 kN/m meaning it tears less easily across or along the film respectively.

Yield Stress: TD-11 MPa, MD-12 MPa shows how much stress this polymer can handle before yielding begins taking place.

Tensile Stress at Break: TD-15MPa, MD-27MPa displays robustness since these values represent maximum tension exerted on each direction until breakage occurs.

Strain at Break: The material stretches more than 500% (TD), 100%(MD); hence it remains elastic during deformation without breaking apart.

Modulus of Elasticity: both directions = 200 MPa; this reflects stiffness as well ability to return into original shape after being deformed.

Optical Properties

Haze: 9% means that light is not greatly scattered thereby enhancing film clarity.

Gloss (45°): 55% gives films shiny appearance besides improving product presentation.

Clarity: Measured at 21 mV thus proving that films made out of them are indeed transparent.

Processing Guidelines

Extruder Temperature Profile: Should be managed between 145-160°C for stable extrusion with uniform melt.

Blow Up Ratio: Must range from 2 to 3 so as achieve best mechanical properties while keeping dimensions within acceptable limits.
Film Thickness: Ideally, it should fall between 25-50 µm because such a thickness ensures good performance without compromising usability.

Health & Safety Information

Handling and Storage: Keep away from sunlight, heat sources; store in dry dust-free place below 50°C to avoid quality loss.
Safety Precautions: Although produced under strict rules, molten polymer might pose certain hazards if mishandled during processing due to fumes release.

Packaging Options

Standard Packaging: Delivered as pellets packed inside PE bags weighing 25 kg each thus allowing for different industrial requirements.

Designed for today’s demanding film applications, LFI2047A offers LDPE manufacturers an excellent combination of toughness, optical clarity and processability.
