LF 0190 is a type of polyethylene film which has high molecular weight and low density. It is also called LDPE (low density polyethylene) film grade because it is widely used for making films that are used in various applications such as laminations. This material possesses great extrusion flexibility along with mechanical properties which makes this product suitable for many industries.
Product Applications:
General Purpose Film: General purpose films are those which can be used for different purposes, so LF 0190 is an ideal choice for manufacturing them due to its good strength and flexibility.
Lamination: Laminations need materials like this one where they contribute towards structural integrity as well functional performance of laminated products.
Typical Properties and Performance:
Melt Flow Rate (MFR): Its flowability under heat is indicated by 1.9 dg/min at 190°C/2.16kg.
Density: The balance between strongness and flexibility provided by 0.921 g/cm³
Impact Strength: Ability to withstand sudden hits shows through 20 KJ/m².
Tear Strength: Tear resistance offered by means of 25 kN/m in TD (transverse direction) and 70 kN/m in MD (machine direction).
Yield Stress: Both MD & TD have yield stresses equaling to 11 MPa which means that material starts deforming under this stress level.
Strain at Break: Flexibility or elongation capacity exhibited when there is a breakage i.e., 500% strain at break in TD while only having 100% MD.
Modulus of Elasticity: Stiffness characterized by measuring around 190 MPa each time on either side namely MD & TD respectively
Coefficient of Friction : Values higher than one represent good sliding resistance capability .
Blocking and Re-blocking : This refers to the tendency of sticking together between two surfaces . In this case , blocking equals twenty grams while re-blocking equals fifty grams.
Haze: This refers to the amount of light scattered by a film thus affecting its clarity with 12%.
Gloss: The visual brightness and reflective properties are affected by gloss which stands at 53%.
Clarity: Visual transparency is measured in terms of MV where 26 is given as quantitative value for the same.
Process Conditions:
This general purpose grade (LF0190) does not contain any additives and it exhibits high output together with excellent drawdowns during extrusion process of films meaning that thicknesses can be kept constant over large volumes easily.
Packaging and Handling:
There are different options for packaging this product, such as pellet form packed in twenty five kilogram bags or one ton semi-bulk quantities up to seventeen tons bulk which meets various industrial needs according to Sabtec CTR® under license from Arya Sasol Petrochemical Co., Ltd.
